Pictures for the week

Katelyn had her weekly photo shoot today :) She is now a completely mobile baby, crawling all over the place. She has started trying to pull up to things. She sure is a busy body!

We are preparing to head back to the south next week and anxiously awaiting Jack's return for his 2 weeks of R&R! I know that the time will fly by but it will be so nice for him and Katelyn to have some time to bond again! I know she misses her daddy terribly - she always gets so excited when she sees him on the webcam.




Notice all the hair she is getting!! Maybe I'll be able to put the bow directly into her hair pretty soon instead of on the headband ha! Also, looks like her blue eyes may stay?

St. Louis

Katelyn and I spent last week in St. Louis with Aunt Rachel, cousin Sadie and Grandma J. We hadn't celebrated Christmas with them yet so we did that and just spent time together the rest of the week. Sadie and Katelyn played very well together and I can't wait to see them together once Katelyn can actually keep up with her. Crawling just isn't cutting it!

Opal, a family friend, came over for dinner while we were in St. Louis. It was so great to see her!!

On our way to St. Louis, we spent the night with Suzanne! It was so good to catch up with her...it had been WAY too long! I can't wait to do it again! Maybe in Manhattan next time.

On the Move

Katelyn has figured out how to crawl, although she hasn't gotten real brave yet to venture out and about. I know she'll figure that out all too soon, but for now I'm enjoying the fact that she isn't going far.

8 months

Another month has come and gone. Katelyn is sure growing up fast. She is working on the crawling thing, sleeping MUCH better at night, eats any kind of baby food fed to her and has 2 bottom teeth.



Her rough stats:

~17 pounds and 27 inches long

What's happening in our neck of the woods....

Besides trying to stay warm, not too much is going on with us. So I'll leave you all with some pictures.




Katelyn is figuring out how to crawl. She goes 3-4 crawls and then falls down and starts over. It's so fun watching to "take off."


She found her Uncle Matt's K-State hat. It just happened to match her outfit!


I hope everyone is having a great start to 2010. I can't wait for the next few months to unfold...we will be heading back to GA, Jack will be coming home for his 15 days of R&R and then he'll return to Iraq to begin his company command. Things will be very busy for him but I know he is excited and will do wonderful! So here's to a busy and great year ending with Jack/daddy returning home!
