Need a Ride?

Or perhaps your yard mowed?? Well, if that's the case, I have just the boy for you!

He has figured out how to make the cozy coupe go. It is so cute watching his little feet Fred Flintstone-it. I giggle every time he gets into the thing!

And look at this cute driver...I could stare into those baby blues all day long!

And if you need your yard mowed, he can provide those services too :) This boy loves his lawn mower!!! ANd he could care less if there are bubbles coming out or not.

Geez, I love this little guy and all his quirkiness (Which I'm sure he gets all of from his father :) )

{Watch Me Grow} 16 Months

Milestones/New Developments:
Not a lot of new developments to report this month. He's just continuing to keep us on our toes :)

 Eating:
He continues to love pasta. He would eat shells and cheese for every meal right now.

Language:
I kind of failed in this department with all the chaos going on this month.

Sleeping:
He has continued with his great sleeping since being done with the bottle! He still takes his 2 naps a day and sleeps all night. All night means 7:30-6(at the latest) but usually in the 5-5:30 range. I wish he'd sleep longer, but it sure beats all the getting up during the night and I'll take it!

Events/Traveling:
Visit from the Jones'

Ha Ha Tonka State Park - He continues to dislike riding long distances in the car so he made it a fun trip. Ha!

Skipped rocks/started to walk in the Roubidioux Creek in Waynesville

Attended Daddy's farewell ceremony and lunch. As soon as it ended and the receiving line started, he made a mad dash for Jack. I guess he wanted to be in on the action. It was pretty cute!

Play date with friends and water! We're going to miss the Hintz's; good thing the Burges' are coming with us ! :)

Enjoyed riding on the Cub Cadet with Daddy.

Went to the swimming pool/splash pad on post for the first time this summer. He was pretty skeptical at first and finally warmed up to the splash pad. He didn't care for the kiddie pool at all.

He attended many practices and games for Katelyn's t-ball team. Oh the joys of being the younger sibling! She'll probably never get drug to his practices.

And finally  for this busy month - packed and moved to Leavenworth, KS. He wasn't always the most helpful, but at least he got a little fun out of it.

And our new house has stairs and we can't keep this little guy off of them! Fortunately, it has a gate at the bottom that is attached to the wall, but it seems as though he has a little sensor and knows when that gate is open.

Favorite Toys/Books:
He's been super interested in books lately. He'll bring one over and want to crawl up on your lap so you can read it to him. He gets antsy when there are lots of words on the page, but as long as it's not too long he'll mostly sit still.

Caught him in his room reading his books that were about to be packed.
Soda cans also make great stacking toys

And boxes are super fun to play in!
Random Pictures:

He got up at his usual early time and it was Jack's turn to get up with him. After being awake for a couple hours, he just feel asleep sitting in the chair next to Daddy while watching TV.

He stepped on something, and his foot was bleeding pretty bad. And the only bandaids I could find at the moment for Princess ones, so he got to sport them. I guess it's time I get some boy themed ones!

Stats for the month:
~24 pounds
12-18 month clothes
Size 5/6 shoes and sandals
Size 4 diapers
9 teeth

Did I do something wrong?!

He was just out of my sight for about 30 seconds and about 6 feet away from me while I was putting the laundry in the washing machine and when I was done I found this! He found his diaper bag and managed to get the almost brand new package of wipes pulled out with only about 20 left in the package. He looked so innocent after I caught him and didn't seem to think there was any problem. In fact, he even helped me shove all of them back in the package. What a guy! Or maybe I should say .....Boys!!

Exploring the great outdoors!

Jack wanted to drive his car to work tomorrow so he went out to get it ready and move some things in the garage. Katelyn quickly got shoes on and went out to ride her trike and that is when the meltdown ensued. This lil guy did NOT want to be left behind. He has become such a little daddy's boy and wants to be wherever he is all the time. So he ran over to the garage door and was trying to open it to get out where they were. The weather was nice so I decided he could head out too. (I really wasn't in the mood to chase him all over the place so that is why we originally weren't going to go out)

He just walked all over the place - up and down the driveway, up and down the sidewalk, in the grass. Just wherever! He was happy as a clam and I got a good workout chasing him too. While we were outside tonight, I was flooded with memories of the times Katelyn and I would spend outside in the evening when she was about this age. Jack was deployed, she had just figured out walking and LOVED to be outside and it was a great way to pass the time before bath in the evenings (before summer made it unbareable in GA). I see a lot of time spent outdoors in our near future with him just tottling everywhere. I do think he's going to be a bit more adventurous though - compared to Katelyn.

"GRASS!!! And I don't have to just sit here!!"

"or sitting is fine too, but Mom can you please come over here and help me back up so I can get back to walking?!"

I just love watching the little ones learn to walk and love how they almost have a "gangster" walk to them while trying to keep their balance. haha! Look at those cute little legs and these jeans just make him look like a lil man!

Gotta keep up with Big sis! It won't be long and shes going to have to pedal a whole lot faster to get away from him.

AND then, Daddy fired up the Monte! It got his attention real quick. I had to give him to Jack so he could see what his future was going to entail.......cars. I do believe Daddy got his little work buddy that he had always dreamed of!

As soon as I handed him over, he grabbed right onto the wheel and started trying to turn it as if he knew exactly what he was supposed to do! He's a Johannes all right!!!

He was watching Katelyn  hit the ball off the tee and would point at it everytime she hit it.

Just look at all those curls....well look good now because they will be gone in a couple of days! It's time to get this mop in order. Stay tuned for pictures from Will's first haircut over the weekend!
