Katelyn's T-Ball Pictures!

Katelyn's T-Ball team, The Rockies, decided to forgo paying a photographer to take team pictures. So, all the parents just lined them up and started snapping away. I think it turned out just fine and turned out much cheaper. After all, they are only 4!

My cute little Rockies tball player!

Katelyn and Lee were in class together at Westside Baptist preschool. They were so cute together. I said, stand by Lee and we'll get a picture and he automatically grabbed her hand. 4 year old are adorable!

The only girls on the team!

A team picture! It's impossible to get all 10 of them to look in the same direction and pretend to enjoy being there!
Katelyn enjoyed the season more and more as the games went on. She wasn't a fan of the games or practices when it was really hot, but I think she wants to play again next year. Mommy's happy! :)

Saying Goodbye

I hate, hate, hate this part of our life right now. :( We have met so many great families on our Army adventures and then we always have to say goodbye (At least for now). We met 2 great families while here and fortunately the Burges' are coming with us to Leavenworth, but the Hintz's are about 2 years behind us. It is so hard to find people that you know will be there when you need them, understand the situation you are in and are just there to listen. I feel like I found that with these ladies. We had weekly play groups with the  kids during the day, started doing monthly Girls Nights Out or Crafts nights and even took turns watching the kids so we could have date nights. I just have to tell myself, it's not goodbye, it's just until next time. The Army really is a small, small world so I know we'll see them again.

So tonight, we went over to the Hintz's for one last Missouri get together. It was nice to be in a house that wasn't complete chaos!!

Father's Day 2013

Father's Day 2013 was full of excitement - j/k!!  As you can see from the pictures, it was spent sweating our buns off and loading more boxes. The move is in T minus 4 days! Eek!!  Hopefully we can have a redo of Father's Day once we get settled in a couple of weeks. Either way, I'm so glad that Jack is the father of my children. They are the luckiest kids!  We love you to the moon and back!!

Looks like fun huh?! I know you are all jealous you couldn't spend your Father's Day doing all the fun stuff we got to do! :)

Pulaski County Fair

We attended the Big Pulaski County Fair again this year.  I grew up in 4-H and taking exhibits to the fair each year, so I've been around the county fair before. Well this is hardly a county fair. It's actually pretty sad. I was never able to find any exhibits but there were a handful of animals. I understand that this county is quite transient but goodness, it's sad. The carnival was even pathetic!  Either way, we went with friends and that always makes it more fun. The kids enjoyed riding the high priced, go around in circle rides and we all ate some semi decent carni food.

Chow time!

The kids all did the mirror maze, but it was a huge waste because the carni worker showed them the way through the entire thing. What's the point?!?!

Making their way through

Liam, Katelyn and Katy waiting in line for some ride that probably cost $4 for 2 minutes of circle time

The hot air balloon ride. This ride was actually kind of cool. They turned the black handle and it would send the balloon around in circles while it was going up and down. They were really laughing on this ride.

2 besties!

They are so cute together!

Riding the train around this small oval track. The mall train is 10 times better!

Will was a great sport. He didn't complain too much and was pretty much content just watching. I'm pretty sure the county fair next summer is going to cost twice as much because he is going to want to ride the rides too!

Being silly!

"Are you done yet, Sissy?! I'm ready to go home and go to bed."

Pool Time

We hit up the post pool for the first time this summer with the Hintz's. The temperature was ridiculously hot!

Will still is not quite a fan but did get into the splash pad a bit. I see swim lessons in his future!

Katelyn and Liam were enjoying the splash pad too!

He was always smart enough (or lucky enough) to move before the water came back on. I don't think it ever got him in the eye. Darn it! I took a ton of pictures just waiting for it to happen, but it didn't. Bummer!

This is about as close as Will would get to getting in the pool and this was the baby pool that was only a few feet deep. Maybe next year ??

My little fair skinned water baby! Poor kids did not get their father's skin tone! :(

Family Pictures - Fort Leonard Wood, MO

Family picture time before we leave! Supposed to be sunset pictures; glad sunset and a few regular. The bugs were atrocious and it was SO hot and humid! It's a wonder any of them turned out!

Cub Cadet

Jack's grandfather bought a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower brand new in 1961. Since then, it's been passed on from his Grandfather to his Aunt Emilie (Aunt Sissy) and then to his cousin, John. John had it for a few years and then went back to Aunt Sissy until she passed. Jack expressed an interest in having it and the Cub had a new home! It wasn't running when we got it but after a little work and a visit to repair shop, it was mowing the lawn like it was a new ride!

The Cub has cut the mowing time in half! And the kids area always wanting to ride along!!

Showing the next owner of The Cub how it drives! ;)

Jack is having blast and it seems the yard gets mowed and awful LOT now. :) No complaints though! I'm sure it's bringing back tons of memories for him and I'm glad that he's able to keep it going! (You don't know how many people wanted to buy it when it was getting worked on!)
