Gators in GA

This weekend some friends from KY came to visit. We went to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge where there for lots of alligators, birds, and turtles.
Can you find the gator?!?

This fella was on the side of the road sunbathing. (About 5 feet from our car.) He was probably 5-6 feet long. This is about as close as I hope to ever come to an alligator!

A house without gutters

We got a spring storm on Saturday that came with lots of rain. Here's what it looks like if your house doesn't have gutters! The front yard pond didn't last very long though because the soil here is like sand. Good thing we don't have a basement!

Monte has arrived!

And no, not the baby! Jack's parents came to visit this weekend and brought his Monte Carlo.

We went to the beach at Tybee Island but the wind was atrocious and the temperature was in the 50s. The ocean was very mad as you can see from the waves. Needless to say we didn't stay very long.

We had lunch at Uncle Bubba's since the line for Paula Dean's was wrapped around the corner to the next block. Maybe someday we'll be able to eat at her restaurant but for now her brother's restaurant will have to do.

We had a great weekend catching up and can't wait to see them again once the baby is here.....hopefully that won't be too long!

Getting closer............

This week marks 32 weeks. 8 more weeks to go..hopefully!! All the books and nurse/drs. say that first time mom's usually go after their due date; I'm hoping that isn't the case! I would be fine with a late April baby :)

Jack's Knack for babies

This past weekend we had a garage sale with our friends Laura Leigh and Ben. While the girls were outside wheelin' and dealin', the guys were inside hanging out. Jack and Reed were hanging out in the chair and Reed fell asleep right in his lap. He usually doesn't fall asleep in that position but somehow Jack managed it. I guess he has a knack for putting babies to sleep. We'll be sure to put his skill to test in a couple of months! He already has a way of calming our baby when he's kicking a lot....all he does is put his hand on my belly and he calms right now. I hope this skill stays around for those middle of the night episodes! I'll just hand the baby right to daddy :)
