KS Christmas 2010

After spending a few days in MO, we got back into the car and drove another 8 hours to KS!
But made a pit stop in Springfield to have lunch with Justin, Rachael, and Reagan!
An 8 hour drive is a huge difference from 12!

I was super excited to see my family; it'd been a while and they hadn't seen Jack since last September!

Building (or should I say getting ready to tear down)
a tower of blocks built with Grandpa and Grandma W.

Our little Drummer girl

What's in here?!

A Radio Flyer Tricycle!

Weeee! She doesn't quite have it figured out yet,
but I'm hopeful it wont take her long!

I don't think that's quite how you are supposed to ride it Katelyn!

Sitting on Grandpa's lap with one of her new baby dolls.

We went to Emporia to visit Great Grandma and see other family.
Katelyn with Rees and Cooper!

Rees and Katelyn playing with her new eggs.
We had a great day and was so fun to catch up with everyone.
Now if only we lived closer!

A family tradition growing up....guess it never died! :)
We always sat at the top of the stairs and
couldn't get to the presents Santa brought us until our "stair" picture was taken.
Jack doesn't look so thrilled though !

Katelyn opening presents the lazy man's way!

A Computer!!

Helping "Uncle" Matt open his present!
(She calls him "Uncle")

Uncle got her a ride on princess car with blocks!
She has it all figured out and came make it go forward now!

Twins?!?

Taking the babies for a ride!

You have successfully made it through the Christmas extravaganza!

We had a great time visiting everyone and hope the New Year brings good things for everyone! As for us, we are going to enjoy the year as a family!

MO Christmas 2010

A couple days before Christmas we made the F.U.N (insert sarcasm there) drive to MO! Katelyn is a great traveler, but it's just a long day. We got up early and were there by dinner time. She was never so happy to be out of that carseat and especially since her cousin was waiting for her! The girls are just 7 months apart and played great with each other!

Her first Christmas gift from Grammie and Pops -
AND she LOVES it!!!
At first she wasn't a very good "driver" and liked to pull it backwards
but she has perfected it and now goes forward!

These drums are bath toys!

A lady bug PILLOW Pet!

Pops helping Katelyn get into the unwrapping spirit!

Dilly Bars, DQ Sandwiches, AND Dipped Ice Cream Cones -
Mommy made plenty of those in her day!

Her very OWN Camera!

Uncle Jeff, Aunt Rachel and Sadie got her a drum!
She's practicing for Marching Band!

Little Mommy Katelyn carrying her baby
all over the place in her new baby carrier!

Baby's hungry!

Katelyn is infatuated with dogs!
Good thing Grammie and Pops have 4 so she could enjoy!
She wanted to be in the dog room all the time and
would walk around, point and say "DOG!" over and over and over again!
Sorry Katelyn - no dog for us!
Guess you'll just have to enjoy Grammie and Pops' dogs!

Katelyn hugging Sadie in the bouncy house!

Daddy and Pops were giving the girls a ride in the bouncy house!
All they could say was "AGAIN!"

I got the White Christmas I was wanting...well kind of!
The ground had white on it at least!

It's Snowing!!!
(We don't get much of that in GA -
although I hear it did flurry in GA while we were gone!)

"Catching" the butterflies
(or maybe just collecting them off the floor!)

"Do" Time!

My little purple marshmallow in her snowsuit!

Learning how to drive in Sadie's car!
She doesn't steer, just presses the pedal.

Doing a little work on their computers!

Congratulations!!
You made it to the end!!
Stay tuned for the final edition of Christmas 2010, yet to come!

Santa Claus

I knew this wouldn't go well but who cares! You have to have a picture each year with Santa and it's fine if she cries, one of these years she'll be ok with him. When we were waiting in line to sit on his lap, she was trying to sneak under the rope and run up to him. BUT when it was her turn...she didn't care for him quite so much. We did manage to get a picture with no tears, but there was also no smile! Maybe next year?!

GA Christmas 2010

We had our first Christmas as a family of 3 and it was everything I'd hoped it would be!
Katelyn really got into the opening of presents
and often times didn't really care what was in the box.
Of course she got spoiled rotten by everyone!
Now our house officially looks like a Toys R Us!
A criteria for the next house will be a room for all the toys!

Santa brought Katelyn's gifts a few days early since
we weren't going to be here on Christmas Day!

Enjoy all the pictures, I'll let them tell the rest of the story!

So happy with her table and chairs

Loving on her baby doll - she's quite the "little" mommy already!

Dr. Katelyn's in the house!

AND she wouldn't give up until.....

She made it in!
I tried putting baby dolls in the front
and she would just throw them out and try to crawl in.
She has finally started using the shopping cart for her baby's and not for her!

Beads from her stocking - should have just given her these.
She was content for quite a while!

Look what I did Mom!

Stay tuned for more Christmas 2010 Editions!
As you can see I'm a little late in updating the blog!
Better late than never right?!
