Sunny Park Day

While Daddy has been at the NASCAR race in Kansas City since yesterday, we needed to find something to do to get us out of the house. So we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to the park.  So the following doesn't need much commentary but is just full of cute pictures of my 2 kiddos!!

He really wanted to be like the big kids and climb around, but there were too many kids on the equipment for me to put him up on it.

And Katelyn was brave and did these bars all by herself. She specifically requested this park because it had these bars.

And since it was nice and warm outside and happened to be between the hours of 2 and 4, we stopped at Sonic for half price slushies. I think Will is hooked!

Park

 What a beautiful spring day we had today.....temperature in the mid 60s. We made sure to take advantage of this great weather and headed to the park. Unfortunately, a lot of others had the same idea because the park was pretty busy. Either way, both of the kids had a blast - Katelyn played on the equipment and Will just walked and walked all over the place. He did find it quite entertaining to try to climb up the slide. Crazy thing is, he made it almost half way up before I grabbed him.

Ashleigh brought bubbles and just like we thought, it attracted all the kids from the playground.

I think he was kind of puzzled that bubbles aren't just in the bath. He didn't really try to get to any of them....but then again there were about 20 kids fighting over them. He was smart to just stand back!

I look forward to more of these gorgeous spring days before it gets too hot to go to the park unless you go at 8 AM!

A Spring Day!

 This week we sure enjoyed the Spring temperatures. I was bummed when we hit 90+ in March that we were skipping right over Spring and were headed into a LONG HOT summer. So this was a nice relief! We met a friend at the park on Wednesday.

This slide was straight down! Luckily it had a long enough flat part at the end for her to slow down on and not shoot her right off the end! Her face was pretty funny every time she would go down it. It was as if her stomach was in her throat!

 We took advantage of a nicer winter day and went to the park. Everyone was tired of seeing and unpacking boxes! Katelyn and Daddy had already experienced this park but wanted to show Mommy how cool it was. The coolest part is that it's right next to the river and she got to skip rocks.

She's such a big girl now and can do most things at the park on her own - at least that's what she thinks, but good thing Daddy is always close by to prevent a fall.

I couldn't believe that she was willing to do this on her own!

She closed her eyes because the last time she went face first into the sand. No fear, Daddy was there to catch this time!

 This winter has been unbelievably mild. I'm afraid we are still in for it though. March might be a cold month. Time will tell!! Either way, I'm sure we'll have many more fun days at the park!
