May fun!

We've had a busy past couple of weeks. Katelyn turned 1, had a birthday party, Grandpa and Grandma J visited for the party and then Grandpa and Grandma W came for a week a little later. She has had a blast with all the company and is sure missing them. Now it's just back to ol' boring mom!

Here are pictures from the week:

Enjoying the backyard pool!

Beach babe at Hilton Head Island, SC

Playing with her new baby doll!
She opened her birthday presents from
Grandma and Grandpa J and Uncle Matt.

Playing with water balloons.
She wasn't scared at all and had a blast.
Notice how wet she is!

We had a BN Mid Deployment party on Friday night and Katelyn got another try at the swing. She liked it and there was no crying!! Maybe we'll have to try it again sometime soon! Only if it weren't so hot...

Katelyn also had her 12 month well baby appt last week. She is still mommy's "little" girl. She got 4 shots and 1 blood draw. She was quite a trooper!!

Her 12 month stats:
17# 15 oz (10th percentile)
28" (27th percentile)

She is completely walking now. She also started clapping this week and is so proud of herself when she does it. She really enjoys being outside and her wagon rides in the evening. She is staring to mimic sounds and will go back and forth repeating you for a while. Her food repertoire is getting bigger and bigger each week (Thank the LORD!) and she is getting used to drinking whole milk like a big girl now! She sure is growing up fast!

We have had a great May so far and this month has seemed to fly by. Now if only the remaining 5 months would go just as fast! Anyone else want to visit GA!? :)

She looks like she had a blast! Where did you get that swim suit? all the ones I find like that the bottoms don't fit Lo.

Hope to see you this summer when you come home!

Michele, I got it at the Carter's outlet store. I'm sure the one in Newton would have it. Katelyn has the same problem with the bottoms and that one actually stayed up. It's a miracle!
